We would like to congratulate the winners of this 2024 edition of the Morocco Desert Challenge for their outstanding performances.
In the motorcycle category, this year's victory goes to Andorran rider Pol Tarrés from the Yamaha Ténéré World Raid team, who won an impressive 6 out of 8 stages. Furthermore, it's an all-French podium for motorcycles: in second place, #108 Amaury Baratin, and in third place, Valentin Sertilhanges, number 121. Amaury Baratin also clinches the overall victory in the veterans' classification. An honorable mention goes to Polish rider Loj Marec, who finished a commendable 16th as the sole quad rider.
In the SSV category, the victory for the second consecutive year belongs to the Dutch duo #201 Mitchel Van den Brink and Bart Van Heun. Gert Huzink and Rob Buursen (#202) take second place overall, and the Polish pair Adam Kus and Marcin Pasek (#234) complete the podium.
Moving to cars and buggies, #301 Mathieu Serradori and Loïc Minaudier claimed an impressive 7 stage victories and thus are the winners in the overall classification. The top 3 is further rounded out by the French duo #315 David Gerard and Pascal Delacour, and the Belgians Christian Femont and Christophe Van Dessel securing a respectable third place overall.
In the truck category, the victory goes to Igor Bouwens with Sydiely Wade and Ulrich Boerboom of the Belgian team Gregoor Racing (#501). They won an impressive 5 out of 8 stages and finished MDC2024 with a lead of over 2 hours ahead of the second-placed team. In second place, we have the Italian trio Claudio and Andrea Bellina and Ettore Vitali from MM Technology. The top three in the trucks category is completed by the number 507 team of the Dutch Giso Verschoor, Pascal de Baar, and Alfred Sturm.
